Oneida County Deputy Suspended Following Utica Fire Incident
An Oneida County Sheriff’s deputy, Aaron Alshaman, has been placed on paid administrative leave following a fire early Wednesday on Kellogg Avenue in Utica. He is a person of interest due to his relationship with a resident of the home and was on duty when the fire ignited, with vehicle data placing him near the location. Currently, no charges have been filed, and an extreme risk order of protection related to the case has been filed in Oneida County Court.
