Teen Suspect Captured by Utica Police After Elm Street Shooting Incident
On March 19, the Utica Police Department responded to a ShotSpotter alert on Elm Street after detecting a gunshot sound. Officers found a .40 caliber casing and learned that a dispute led to an individual firing a shot before fleeing into a nearby residence. New York State Police assisted due to the active supervision status of a resident there. A search of the property uncovered a loaded .380 handgun. Currently, no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
