Slow Starts Lead to Pioneer Losses Against Gators in Two Games
The Utica Pioneers baseball team suffered a doubleheader loss to Russell Sage, falling 24-14 in an unusual restart game followed by an 18-13 defeat. In the first game, tied 7-7 when paused in April, Russell Sage pulled away with a six-run inning. Despite strong performances from Jacob Scalise and Ty Montrose, the Pioneers couldn’t catch up. In game two, after trailing 14-0, Utica rallied with 12 unanswered runs but ultimately lost. The Pioneers, now 12-10-1, will face Houghton University next in a critical series.🫎 Fetch Source
