Helen and Leon Sperling Holocaust Program | Utica Event Overview
The Jewish Community Center in Utica held its annual Helen and Leon Sperling Holocaust program on Wednesday, honoring the legacy of Helen Sperling. This year, guest speaker Arielle Beth Klein, a writer and granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, presented her award-winning short film, “The Red Shoe,” inspired by her grandmother’s experiences fleeing from the Nazis.
