Ellis Urgent of Cornwall Central has been named Empire 8 Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week after a standout performance in long jump, securing first place at the RPI Capital District Classic with a jump of 7.19 meters. This impressive feat ranks him No. 17 nationally and marks his third first-place finish in the last four meets. Urgent will look to continue his success at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships on May 2 and 3.
