Men's Outdoor Track and Field Concludes Day One, Crowned E8 Conference Champion.
In a thrilling start to the 2025 Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championship, the Utica University men’s team secured fourth place with 47.5 points. A highlight came from Ellis Urgent, who not only clinched gold in the long jump but also set a new school record with an impressive 7.24m leap. Additional standout performances included Bennett Melita’s third-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase and multiple top finishes in the hammer throw. The Pioneers will continue competition tomorrow at SUNY Brockport.
