Logan Wins Shot Put, Pioneers Conclude Day 2 at Empire 8 Championships
Hunter Logan made history at the Empire 8 Outdoor Championships, clinching his eighth consecutive shot put title with a throw of 15.79 meters. His remarkable achievement highlights a stellar day for the Utica Track and Field team, which secured fourth place overall with 94.5 points. Alongside Logan, standout performances included Bennett Melita’s record-setting fourth place in the 5000m and Louis Pinto’s championship high jump at 1.96 meters. The Pioneers now look ahead to the Farley Inter Regional in Williamstown.
