Utica Police on High Alert Due to Swatting Incident
On Tuesday night, Utica police responded to reports of a shooting on Lincoln Ave. around 7:30 p.m., which turned out to be a swatting incident. Officers, guns drawn, investigated the scene and checked leads, including entering a nearby house, but found no evidence of a shooting. The police are now looking into the origin of the false report to identify the caller.
