Forest Rangers Capture Suspect Sought by Oneida County Sheriff's Office and Utica PD
On August 7 at 11:10 a.m., New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Forest Rangers responded to a report of unauthorized campers on Mason Road in Plainfield State Forest. One camper was arrested for warrants related to multiple charges, including criminal obstruction of breathing and criminal contempt, from various law enforcement agencies. The individual was taken into custody without incident and transferred to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office. In accordance with DEC policy, the camper’s name was not released.
