Plogging in Utica: Run, Clean Up, then Enjoy Saranac Brewery!
Saranac Brewery is hosting Utica’s inaugural plogging event on September 13, which combines jogging or walking with litter collection to promote community cleanliness. Originating in Sweden, plogging is a fitness movement that emphasizes environmental action. The event, free for all participants, will feature music, food, and a complimentary pint of Weekend Warrior beer at the brewery post-event. Market manager Dennis Brinkworth stated the initiative aims to make Utica “a little cleaner, a little greener” while encouraging fun and community engagement.
