Hanna Park Showcases Vibrant African Culture and Traditions
The United African Association of Utica hosted its second annual African Festival on Saturday at Hanna Park, Utica City Hall, aiming to celebrate and share the richness of African culture with the community. This free event featured live music, dance performances, a fashion showcase, authentic African cuisine, art displays, and activities for children. President Ebrima Jallow emphasized the importance of cultural knowledge, stating, “The more people know about our culture, the more they’ll understand our way of living,” highlighting the festival’s goal to foster understanding and appreciation.
