Rabid Bat Exposes Two People and a Cat in South Utica
A bat in South Utica tested positive for rabies, with results reported on August 26, following a test conducted on August 21, according to the Oneida County Health Department. Two individuals and a cat were exposed to the bat; the individuals received postexposure treatment while the cat received a rabies vaccination booster.
