Runner Recovers After Deer Collision at Utica's Boilermaker Race
A female runner, injured by a deer during the Boilermaker 15K Road Race on July 13, has made a full recovery and returned to running. She participated in her first Boilermaker event and thanked fellow competitors, EMS, and medical teams for their support, as well as the community for their concern. Boilermaker officials expressed hope that she and her family will return to Utica to complete her race experience in the future.
