Annual Abolition Walk in Peterboro Honors Utica’s Abolitionist Heritage.
On Saturday, Oct. 11, the National Abolition Hall of Fame and Museum will host its fourth annual Abolition Walk, commemorating 104 abolitionists. Registration starts at 8 a.m. at 102 South Peterboro St. in Canastota, with the walk beginning at 9:30 a.m. Participants will reach Clockville by 10:30 a.m. and return for a celebration at Erie Canal Brewing Company around noon. This event aims to honor the legacy of abolitionists and promote awareness of their historical significance.
