Utica Man Arrested for Assaulting Officer and Escaping Capture
UTICA, N.Y. – On Friday at about 5:30 p.m., Utica Police responded to a fight on Oneida St., where suspect Amir Bowman, 24, punched an officer and fled, initiating a foot chase. Bowman barricaded himself in a home on Walker St., prompting police to establish a perimeter. After negotiation, he was coaxed out by a family member and taken into custody. He faces charges of second-degree harassment and resisting arrest.
