Two officers receive extension to consider plea deal in Marcy prison case.
Two correction officers, Michael Fisher and Michael Mashaw, appeared in Oneida County Court on April 16 to consider plea agreements related to the fatal beating of inmate Robert at Marcy Correctional Facility. Judge Robert Bauer granted their defense attorneys additional time to review the offers, synchronizing their hearings with three co-defendants who had made similar requests. All ten charged officers will announce their decisions on guilt or proceed to trial during hearings scheduled for April 29 and 30.
