AG's Office Seeks Dismissal of State and Martuscello from Lawsuit
The New York State Attorney General’s office is seeking to dismiss a lawsuit against corrections commissioner Daniel Martuscello, filed by the family of Robert Brooks, who died allegedly due to officer actions on December 9. The motion argues that Martuscello, who took office after Brooks’ death, had no prior knowledge of any imminent danger to him. The lawsuit, filed in US District Court in Utica, also names 15 correctional officers and former Marcy Correctional Facility superintendent Danielle Medbury, who was recently relieved of her duties.📺 Fetch Source
