3 Arches Sculpture Reinstated on Munson's Lawn: Business Update
“Three Arches,” a 1963 sculpture by Alexander Calder, has been reinstalled at the Munson Museum of Art in Utica as part of a New York State-funded Downtown Revitalization Initiative. The reinstallation, which also received conservation support from the Greater Hudson Heritage Network, honors Calder’s original commission for the museum. Notably acclaimed by architect Philip Johnson, the sculpture’s return is celebrated to revitalize and enhance the downtown area’s cultural landscape.
