Utica Fire Department Begins Fire Hydrant Inspections on May 5 for Safety.
The Utica Fire Department will inspect fire hydrants citywide starting Monday, May 5, daily until June 6. Inspections will occur Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Residents may experience discolored water but should not worry as there is no boil water advisory; the water remains uncontaminated. Residents are advised to check their water quality before drinking or doing laundry and to avoid using hot water if discoloration occurs.
