Man Arrested After Domestic Incident in West Utica Early Morning Detention
A 38-year-old Utica man, Christopher Geiger, faces assault charges following a domestic incident on August 13 at 2:20 AM on State Street. During an argument about their relationship, Geiger allegedly brandished a knife and threatened the victim. When she attempted to call 911, he confiscated her phone and choked her. The victim managed to bite him to escape, and during a struggle for the knife, she sustained lacerations. Geiger was subsequently arrested by police at the scene.
