Grant Funds Upgrades for Two Mohawk Valley Parks' Community Improvements
The New York Governor’s office announced $10 million in funding for 17 projects through the Municipal Parks and Recreation Grant Program, part of the $4.2 billion Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act. This initiative aims to improve municipal parks statewide. Notably, Utica in the Mohawk Valley will receive $1 million to enhance Pixley Park with new playground equipment, accessible restrooms, and a splash pad, significantly benefiting the community’s recreational facilities.
