Salka Exits NY 22nd Race; Lemondes Unopposed for GOP Nomination | Decision 2025
Republican John Salka has ended his campaign for New York’s 22nd Congressional District due to “a combination of personal and political circumstances.” Salka, a former State assemblyman and aide to ex-Congressman Brandon Williams, withdrew after Assemblyman John Lemondes announced his candidacy, leaving Lemondes unopposed for the Republican nomination against Democrat incumbent John Mannion in the 2026 election.
