Amish Wagon Accident in Danube Results in Two Hospitalized
A wagon accident in Danube, NY, on Monday evening sent two people to the hospital, including the driver of the car that struck the wagon. At around 5:37 PM, 73-year-old Laurie Callan of Fort Plain rear-ended an Amish horse-drawn wagon on State Route 5S, ejecting all eight occupants from the wagon. A six-year-old passenger was taken to Wynn Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while Callan went to Bassett Hospital. The wagon’s driver, 31-year-old Daniel Stoltzfus, was unharmed.
