International Olympic Luge Federation Holds Tryouts in Utica, New York
The USA Olympic Luge Committee is hosting the 2025 USA Luge Slider Search on September 20-21 in Utica, aiming to discover future Olympic Luge talent among boys and girls ages 10 to 13. This event, inspired by 2014 Bronze medalist Erin Hamlin—discovered through a similar search in 1999—features three clinics daily, limited to 10 participants each on a first-come basis. Established in 1985, the program’s goal is to recruit and train young athletes for the USA Luge Junior Development Team, ultimately guiding them toward Olympic competition.
