Two Arrested Following Domestic Dispute in Utica
On Sept. 3, the Utica Police Department responded to a fight on Jay Street linked to a domestic dispute. Duane Floyd allegedly assaulted Elijah Mitchell, choking him until he lost consciousness, while Mitchell’s girlfriend tried to intervene. This incident followed a prior altercation on Aug. 11, where Mitchell threatened Floyd and his children’s mother with a bat, and damaged their car while children were present. The police are investigating both incidents.
