Utica Rescue Mission: A Journey Towards Hope and Renewal
The Rescue Mission of Utica hosted “A Mission of Hope” on Sunday at Hart’s Hill Inn in Whitesboro, marking its 33rd year. Formerly known as the Gourmet Guys to the Rescue, the event featured food, raffles, and music, while fostering connections between attendees and those they support. Executive Director Wendy Goetz emphasized that the event transcends fundraising; it celebrates transformation, compassion, and community, encouraging attendees to develop empathy by learning the stories of individuals facing homelessness and substance use recovery.
